Magical Monday Gift Bag

I'm so excited!!! Tonight I learned how to make a gift bag and gift box, something I would probably never have done had it not been for this challenge.  Thanks so much to Nina for the wonderful "Think Love" digi from There's Magic In The Air.  Here are two views of the bag for you.  I was hoping to fill it up with candy to see what it looked like full, but can you believe it, there isn't one piece of candy anywhere in this house. So, tomorrow my mission is to stock up with yummy chocolates (like I need chocolate).
Thank heaven for You Tube and their tutorials. I do want to give credit to Michelle Sturgeon over at Come Stamp With Me for her 2007 Gift Bag Tutorial.  I would never have figured this out without her help.  I did modify the handle somewhat though.
Earlier tonight I downloaded a heart svg file from Dan over at My Crafty Life and that is where the tiny hearts with Xmas Red Stickles came from. It's Freebie #40, so if you hurry, you just might be able to get the heart border file and some hearts.
Items Used:  Spellbinder's Scalloped Heart Die - Copics - Xmas Red Stickles - Ribbon, gems, & paper from my stash - Creative Memories Heart Punch

I hope you enjoy my little creation as much as I enjoyed making it.  Thanks so much for stopping. If you'll leave me a comment I'll be over to visit before you know it.  Have a wonderful evening!!!!

2S4Y Help for Haiti

Phew, it's been a long week and I'm just now getting some posts done.  Thanks so much to Chrissy Armstrong over at Whimsey Stamps for this absolutely georgous digi stamp in support of the earthquake victims of Haiti.  All proceeds from the sale of this digi stamp will go to the American Red Cross for the earthquake disaster in Haiti.  What a wonderful way to help others!

This is also my challenge card for this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You. Paper is new from Kaiser Craft and I used Copics to color the Hope for Haiti digi. Stickles were used to add that extra bling I always have to have. Flowers are from my stash and are the bush leaves from MS punch.

I hope you enjoy and I do so appreciate your stopping by to visit.  If you'll leave me a short note I'll hop on over and see what's new on your blog.

Our Daily Bread Design Challenge 1 for 2010

Have to say this was one challenge I really enjoyed doing. Not only because I didn't have to color any images but it reminded me of just how important the love of God and my family are to me.  Plus, it only took me only an hour to do.  Don't you just love it when you can put something together so quickly that you think looks pretty good!

The challenge was to use brown and punches or dies and boy, did I do a lot of punching.

Paper is from Basic Gray Granola pad which I just received not too long ago and Mud Pie from Bazilla
Spellbinders Curved Rectangles Die - Sizzix Flourishes Die
Punches: 7/8" round and Paper Shapers Retro Flower Lg & Med
Pearl embellishments are from stash
Sure wish I could make bows like Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace. She is so talented!!

The days just seems to fly and there is just never as much time to play as I'd like. Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope you'll pop in again soon. Please be sure to leave me a comment so I can hop over and visit your blog.  I love seeing your new creations.

WOJ Fred Falls for PC Tons of Love

Tonight I've got two post for you.  The first is for the There's Magic In The Air Challenge using the Tons of Love by Nina digi image from Paper Cupcakes.  When I first saw TOL I knew I just had to ink up Fred by Allison Acton from Whiff of Joy and pair them together. Since I hadn't inked Fred yet, what better time that now with Valentine's Day on the horizon. Hope you enjoy!

Here is a picture of the copics I used

Paper is stash from last year - Roses are from Prima with Stickles added and glittered heart brad
Stamps:  Whiff of Joy Fred - Tons of Love, Paper Cupcakes - Key and Chain from Whiff of Joy
Heart gems and crystals are from my stash
Sentiment is computer generated

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon. Comments are much appreciated so I can hop over and visit you to see what's new on your blog.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Phew, think I'm going to get this one in on time but I missed getting to use this card for the Curtain Call Color Challenge.  Just glad to be able to get it posted to the PaperTake Weekly Challenge  blog.

This was a fun challenge for me as I dug out my Spellbinders dies that I seldom take the time to use. Chose this winter stamp as I thought it would work for Valentine's Day as it is still "winter" here.  The paper is Basic Grey and the ribbons laced through the boarderability is from my stash. The rose is from Prima and the branches are from MS punch.  I diverted away from the sketch a little but thought I came pretty close.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and I hope to see you again soon.  If you have time to leave me a comment I'll pop on over and pay you a visit.  "Hugs" Granny

Mojo Monday Week 121 Challenge

Just a quick post tonight to say "HI" and let you know I haven't been doing nothing!!  LOL  Not sure if these still qualify for the challenges as I might have missed getting them posted but at least they are done and I may get lucky after I finish posting them.

I used Whiff of Joy stamps, DP but I don't remember from where, and the following copics: (sorry about the quality of this picture but too late to change now)

Thanks so very much for stopping by and if you'll leave me a comment I'll hop on over and visit you.
Have a wonderful week!  "Hugs" Granny

Whiff of Joy Challenge #61

This is my first time to use the "Freezing Willow" stamp. She is so appropriate right now.  It's bitterly cold here and has been below 20F for the last two weeks with wind chills as low as -35F. These temperatures are really rare for us.  We had our first BLIZZARD in 20 years during Christmas week.
I'm so ready for spring!!!!

I loved doing this color challenge of aqua and red.  The bench Willow is sitting on is also a WOJ stamp. I cut out the bench and Willow and attached them with pop dots.  I tried to make my first flower and think I need a  little (LOT) of practice.......  The flower center is from Prima. The scrolls are from a Sizzix die and the branches are from an MS punch.  The paper is from Basic Grey paper pack called Bittersweet.

Here is a picture of the copics I  used minus the bench.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.
Please leave me a comment so I can hop over and visit your blog.

Hearts-Heart & More Hearts

What a great day!!! I got to spend most of my time in the craft room working on challenges and playing. Fantastic way to relax and have fun.  The card I'm submitting in this post I hope qualifies for two challenges:
A Spoon Full of Sugar (Hearts) and Magic in the Air (Color).

My SU paper and ink supply is minimal so I came as close as possible using copics to color "Painted Pony".  Isn't he just the cutest!  Think I'm starting to get into the digi stamps.  He is free just for participating in the challenge.  To see more digi stamps or participate in the challenge, hop on over to
"Magic In the Air" and see all the cute images.

The paper is from Basic Grey Bittersweet 6 x 6 pack.
The rose is from Prima and I've used a heart brad from my stash.
Here's a picture of the copics I used.

Now for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #85 is all about hearts.
And boy, do I have a lot of hearts on this card...........lol
Had some trouble with this layout because I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do
and couldn't find a sketch that jumped out and said use me,
so I went hog wild doing my own thing........

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again.
Please leave me a comment so I can drop by and visit your blog.
Have a great weekend!

Oops! Missed Magic in the Air Challenge

Darn, I missed getting this entered in the Magic in the Air challenge last week. I thought ole Merry Moose-Mas was so cute I just had to color him up and I really liked the sketch. Another one of my latent digi stamp purchases I didn't have time to use. One good thing, I'm sure getting a head start on Christmas cards for next year. This will be card  #2 of the month for Christmas Cards All Year 'Round January Challenge.  You only have to enter 5 cards per month to participate in the challenge so hop on over and see what's happening this month.  Making Christmas Cards are my favorite cards to make because I so love the time of the year and the reason for the season.

Paper from my scrap pile was used. I'm trying to use up the bigger pieces I have left from 2009. Copics were used to color Moose and Gold Stickles to glitzie him up a little. MS Snowflake punch with Stardust Stickles adorned the card and then I added gold star brads to match the gold star hanging from the end of his antler.

That's all from me for the night but I want you to know how much I appreciate your visit and I hope you'll leave me a comment so I can come visit you soon.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Dual Challenges

Can you believe I'm still doing Christmas cards???  I received some new stamps in mid December and just didn't have time to ink before the holidays so I'm putting them to good use now, plus, this card qualifies for two challenges this month.  One is my first card of five for Christmas Cards All Year Round and the other is MoJo Monday Challenge 120.

All of the paper is from my scrap pile so I have no idea who to credit. And, I have a LOT of scraps.....lol
The image is "Henry with Wreath" from Whiff of Joy which I colored with copics and added Startdust Stickles to his  hat. The scrolls are from a Sizzix die cut that I used in my Cuttlebug. Guess I could just cut them out with my Cricut but I never think to use it anymore.  The circles are the Large Classic Scalloped Circles by Spellbinders. A MS punch was used for the scallops and the crystals are from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you have time, please leave me a comment so I can come visit your blog.

New Look in 2010

Happy Monday! What a night this has been.....while trying to update my blog I ended up losing almost everything and I'm not sure I got it all back yet.  If I follow your blog and it's not listed here, please let me know so I can add it again.  In sorting out the challenge gadget I goofed up there too so if you know of some challenge blogs I don't have showing, please let me know and I will be more than happy to add them.

Still need to do a lot of tweeking but think best I get a few hours sleep before proceeding before I end up getting lost somewhere in cyberspace and can't get back.....lol

Be back soon!
