Copic Creations Challenge #22

The challenge this week was for an Easter theme and custom coloring your embellishments so I colored the buttons under the prima flowers, which I am sorry, don't show up as much as I thought they would.
The Easter basket and eggs are a digi stamp from DZ Doodles and I think I've downloaded all the ones they have for Easter to date. They are just great for coloring.
The Lilies are from my stash as is the DP.
Below are copics I used to color the image and the buttons.
Thanks to everyone at Copic Creations for this great challenge and to DZ Doodles for such great digi stamps.

Lucky Bear Finds Pot of Gold

Happy Sunday to you all and thanks so much for stopping by.
Here is my card for Magic In The Air challenge this week using Lucky Bear. Thanks so much to Nilla for the challenge and for forcing me to try my handwork at distressing.  I used scissors or distress the sides of the card and the fold but not sure it shows up here. A big thanks also to Nina for this cute bear digi stamp.
I love St. Pat's Day with the once a year menu of corn beef and cabbage but other than that I don't have one thing for decorating a card for St. Pat's Day.  The rainbow is made with copics and the pot of gold is CM metallic gold paper with gold stickles and a shamrock I'd printed and cut out for the center. Round gems were used for the gold covered with gold stickles.
Hope to see you again soon.

The Sweet Shop Sketch w/ a spin & PRIZE!

My partner in crafting just loved this sketch for The Sweet Stop challenge SSS44 so I'm showcasing another card by Diana. Next time she brings her laptop over I'm going to make sure she gets her blog started (if I can remember how to do it.......LOL).  We definitely have different styles but that's what make us such unique partners. She is into clean, unclutttered, simple styles, and too much is never enough for me....
DP is from an older paper kit from Paper Pizzaz and matting is from Bazzilla. Flowers are from Creative Memories and the sentiment is from JustRite.
Please be sure to leave her a comment to inspire her to continue to let me post her creations and to get her motivated to start her blog.
Thanks so much for stopping to visit. I hope we see you again soon.

Friday Sketchers #90 & A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #92- Elizabeth Bell's New Fairy Digi Stamp

A special thanks to Beatrix over at Friday Sketchers for creating this wonderful sketch to work with.  I'm so excited I finally got to participate in one of their weekly challenges.

Just had to also include this card for the "Guest Designers Choice" challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar because I love the challenge this week.  One of these days I'll learn how to enter one card for two challenges in the blogland way but for now, this is the best I can do.

This new digi stamp by Elizabeth Bell, February Flutter, is so enchanting. If you love fairies as much as I do, hop on over to her blog and be sure to pick it up (instant gratification..LOL) So far I haven't seen this digi used but then who has time to visit ALL the blogs on the WWW.
Love this old paper from K & Co and sure wish I could find more. Of course, it's got all the glitz and shimmer to really make it stand out yet still let your image be the focus of the card.
Recipe: K& Co DP, Bazzilla for matting
Elizabeth Bell's February Flutter Digi Stamp
Starry Night and Stardust stickles
Butterflies and flower cut from K&Co scraps
Of course, Copics

My bloganniversary is coming up in April and I'm going to be giving away some candy to one of my followers. I'm sure you'll like what it will be but I'm saving the goodies info for later. So if you feel that I inspire you just a tad and you enjoy stopping by to visit, please become a follower to have a chance at some yummy blog candy.

Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope you'll come back soon. Please be sure to leave me a comment so I can hop on over and visit your blog. I love seeing all your creations!

Whiff of Joy "Pearls & Swirls"

Another piece of old beautiful paper from Paper Pizzaz (Hot Off the Press).  This type of paper is really difficult for me to find and I do so wish they would produce more of something similar. Gold metallic is from CM and the Opal Shimmer is from The PaperTemptress.  Flowers are prima and leaves are from MS punch. Pearls and other embellishments are from my stash as is the lace inside.
Of course Willow Sitting Bride from WOJ is one of my all time favorites.
It sure seems to take a lot of Copics for one image...........LOL
That's all from me for today.
I hope you've enjoyed your visit as much as I have creating it for you.
Please be sure to leave me a comment so I can hop over to see what's new on your blog.

MoJo Monday Challenge #126

A big thanks to Diana, my partner in crafting, for completing this card for me.  It's been such a crazy week around here I'm playing a fast catch up game.  I think she did a great job and you have to love that Whiff of Joy stamp she used.

Because Diana doesn't have a blog yet I will be showcasing some of her cards and hopefully you will encourage her to continue to let me showcase her creations until she can get a blog going. She has a very artistic talent and is the person that started me in the art of paper crafts.  A big hug to my partner and BFF. Your comments will be shared with Diana for encouragement so please leave her a little love.

Hope to see you again soon.  Have a fantastic week.

Just a short post for now. Here is one of the cards I had completed but did not get posted in time for the challenge.  Motivet has added digital images and I'm sure if you love these images as much as I do that you'll want to check out this site. They are cuties, that's for sure.
Copics that were used to color the cute digi image.  Hope you enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Thank You All So Very Much

To all my wonderful followers, online friends, and other friends:

Sorry I haven't been more faithful this week about getting my postings done and all the challenges I love to do completed, but it's been a crazy week of doctor appointments, tests, tests, and more tests.  The best news we have gotten in 2 years was received yesterday and that is that my husband's cancer is in remission. We have so much to be thankful for and I just had to share this good news with you.  He's a long way from being well due to other health issues but this news is a true blessing from God.

Tomorrow I will be attending the Copic Certification class in Shawnee Mission (weather permitting-weather advisory pending) and will  then be back to work in my craft room.

Thanks so much for sticking with me through minimal postings and my not getting around to visiting you all.  Hope to see you all again real soon.  Happy crafting and designing.

Magic In The Air Card of Comfort - Flight of the Fuschia

This has been a whirlwind week to say the least. There are 3 unfinished missed challenge cards laying on my desk, the house is a mess, hubby has not had a good week, and I could go on and on, but in a lighter note, here is my card for MITA/PCC. Don't you just love this paper and the serenity of the ocean and the colors. Completing this card gave me the peace I needed to unwind and get focused again.  Thanks so much to Nina May for this beautiful digi dove with fuschia.  Can't wait to see what she has for Monday.

Decided to make my first easel card so that all of the pattern from this beautiful piece of DP would be seen. DP is from my stash and I sure wish I could remember where I got it and could get more. The flowers, swirls, and pearls are from my stash.  Matting is Bazzilla.  Sentiment is from JustRite and I used a Spellbinders die for matting. Stickles were used on the end of the fuschia flower.  Of course, I don't color without my Copics, shown below.  One of these days I'm going to find a tool that let's me place my objects on straight.....lol

Well, that's it from me for now.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon. Sorry I haven't been visiting lately but I promise to stop by to see everyone later tonight or tomorrow. With any luck I'll get those missed challenged cards done to share. Please leave me a comment so I don't miss getting to your blog to see what's new and to gather some of  your fabulous inspiration.  Have a fantastic holiday!!!

MoJo Monday 124 Contest

This was a really fun and easy card to put together. The image, "Heart Felt Hello" is by Nina May from There's Magic In The Air -Paper Cupcakes -  I'm still thinking about spring even with 2 inches of snow yesterday and another 3-6 inches forecast for tomorrow and Monday. I'm just thankful I don't live in Washington or Maryland right now. We've seen more snow in Missouri this year than we have in 20 years.

Spellbinders classic scalloped and classic circles
MS Border Punch
Embellishments and ribbon from stash
Sizzix Die Scrolls - Cuttlebug
Flower from Prima
Copics used below

Willow with Umbrella WOJ Challenge #64

Here I am wishing for Spring again and the beautiful flowers that will bloom in May. In searching through my  Whiff of Joy stamps I found Willow with Umbrella that had not been inked yet. I couldn't believe my eyes because I thought I inked up a page of the new stamps as soon as I got them. What memories she brings of the smell of warm spring rains.
The paper is from Paper Pizazz Vintage Pad that a friend just gave me (Thanks Diane). I fell in love with the design and color of the paper and sure wish I could find more vintage paper similiar to this. The base of the card is made from Bazzill (Peas) paper and the matt is Deep Blue from Creative Memories.  I used a combination of Distressed Ink Faded Jeans and Milled Lavendar for the background behind Willow. Flowers were made from that wonderful vintage paper and a MS branch punch. Embellishments are Dew Drops and Stardust Stickles. Below is a picture of the copics used:

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. Please leave me a comment so I can hop on over to your blog to see what's new. I read each and every comment on my posts and I sincerely appreciate all the kind words of inspiration.  See you again soon!
