Joan's Garden Tag

Oops! Think I got my posts backwards so if you want to see the card for Joan's challenge this week you will need to scroll down.  Sorry!  I'm having one of those nights.......ya know how that goes I'm sure, no matter what ya do, nothing works......LOL

This tag is made with K & Company DP and the rest of the embellies are from my stash.  I did make the little flower on the right bottom out of the DP and thought it turned out kinda cute.  You got to have tiny stuff to make these tiny tags with.....  I did have fun creating it though and everything was right at hand from making the card so here is my first tag, I think....lol

Let me know what you think if ya get a chance and I'll be over to see what's new with you.

Wishing You Sunny Days

Here is the card I created for this weeks challenge at Joan's Gardens.  The challenge is to use the colors Peach and Blue (Teal), Butterflies, and something Frilly.  I know my peach looks more orange and that's because I did not get a chance to take the picture in daylight.  Sorry for the poor quality. I really loved doing this challenge with these colors.  In fact, I even ventured into making a tag for the challenge this week to be used on a gift along with this card.  Wow, can't believe I made one of those small things.......LOL

Card Info:
  • DP is by K& Company and matting by Bazzill
  • Spellbinder's Fleur De Lis Pendant and border dies
  • Sentiment is a HFC stamp from Joan's Store
  • Florintine corners from WOJ
  • Everything else is from my stash, Stickles & Gems
  • Oh, I made the flower using a tutorial from Bells'n Whistles. Was quick and easy!
Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope you have the time to leave me a comment so I'll be sure and hop over to see what's new on your blog.  Always needing a little inspiration and I always find it with you.

If you haven't entered either one of my blog candies I hope you will take the time to do it.  I'll be adding a few new items April 1 to the Anniversary Candy so be sure to check back.

The challenge this week at Paper Cupcakes is brought to us by the talented Gloria. She wants us to use the colors, pink, yellow and green...now how much easier can that get.  You may use any image of your choice but we love it when you use a PCC image, plus, you get entered into the prize drawing twice. There is some fantastic eye candy and inspiration from the DT, created just for you, so hop on over, grab a free image if you don't already have a PCC digi and play along with us this week.  We'd love to see your creation!

Card Info:

OMG - She's 13 Today

Happy Birthday Drue
May your day be extra special and your birthday party on Saturday a blast!

Can't believe that my only granddaughter has reached her teen years and is growing up so fast and so far away. El Paso is a LONG way from Missouri so our visits are far and few inbetween.  As you all know, I'm terrible about getting things mailed in due time so to make sure she gets to see her card today I decided to share it here.  Hope you all enjoy.

I'm entering this card in my first Kenny K Challenge which is 3 DPs, 2 Ribbons, and 1 Image.  Have quite a few of these images but just haven't had a reason to color one up till now. Went a little overboard on the embellies but I like the foo foo way it turned out and yet not too childish. Of course this image is just adorable, as is Drue, with those cute dimples and blonde hair she has.

My grandchild has turned into a foxy teenager and foxy she is.  Last summer when she left she was wearing hot pink and lime green with pink (one shoe) and lime shoe laces in her other tennis shoe. Hence, the reason for the color scheme.......lol

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Happy Birthday sweetie, we love you!  This card is in the mail with a little goodie tucked inside the tag.

Joan's Challenge Card

The challenge this week at Joan's is to use the colors pink and green, create a thank you card, use some kind of stripes, and use something scalloped.  Well, I think I got this done in time to get it entered, at least I hope so.  Got sidetracked 2 days ago right in the middle of making the card and then my mojo flew the coop tonight when I tried to finish it.  Definitely not what I originally had in mind but since it was done decided to go ahead and post it anyway.

Card Info:
  • DP is from the BG Porcelain Pad
  • Matting from stash
  • Sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches
  • Image is from WOJ Spring Kit and colored with Copics
  • Scalloped Nestie Circles - MS Punches
  • Stickles, Lace, & Chalk are from stash
  • Vellum flowers (finally got some made) from Selma's Tutorial and materials from Joan's Gardens
I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
Stamp Something - Stamp something sweet

Thanks so much for stopping by. Leave me a comment if ya have time and I hop right over to see ya. Oh, don't forget to enter the blog candy by click on the candy picture in my sidebar.  Have a super day!

EDITED:  Oops posted too early and don't know how to change - Sorry!

Woo Hoo!!!! It's officially the first day of Spring here and all about flowers and warmer weather.  Nina has created this gorgeous new Doodle Flower 4 image for you  to use on your card and I have been given the honor of bringing you the challenge for this week at TMIA/PCC.  The challenge is to create a card or vintage tag to be eligible for this weeks prize. You are free to use any image of your choice but we love it when you use a Paper Cupcake image (here) plus you get 2 entries in the drawing.

If you have not been to the challenge blog to welcome our new designers and see their awesome designs you are really missing out on some fantastic eye candy. With that said, I hope you will stop by to say hi and see the gorgeous entries for this week.

Everything on this card is from my stash except for the new image, Doodle Flower 4 colored with Copics, gems and Stickles added.  The DP is a gift from my friend Diane, in fact, she gave me a whole book of DP that has been discontinued and I just fell in love with those papers, of course, they are purple......LOL  Sketch is from last weeks Friday Sketchers #145.  Used Spellbinder dies, Stickles, MS branch punch,  flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and a Myan chipboard fluorish colored with Copics.

I am also entering this card in Creatalicious Challenges
Two Tone Colors

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have the time to leave me a comment so I will be sure to stop by and visit to see what's new with you.  I'd also like to know what you think of the new blog look, which is a freebie, from Sharon at Plumrose Lane.  It still needs a lot of tweaking! She has some fab new blog backgrounds.

A Lovely Blog Award from a Lovely Person - Passing It On

A big "Thank You" to Patti Painter, one of my DT sisters and a dear blogging friend  from Virginia. We share some of lifes daily challenges of being caregivers and our love of crafting and sharing our lives with you...  If you get a chance I hope you will take the time to stop by Patti's blog to see many of her lovely and talented creations plus leave her a little sweetness.

I love all of you that I've met through blogging and sharing our creations along with a little bit of our history and ourselves. Crafting is truly a universal language and one we don't have to interpret to appreciate, understand, and admire.

This award only has 2 requirements and I so hope you will accept it and share it with: 1) 8 others whom you admire:  2)  share 7 things about yourself.  I hope you have time to visit these 8 fantastic bloggers for tons of inspiration.1
Georgette - Butterfly Girl
Sue (Tillymint) - A Consuming Passion

Things you may or may not know about me:
1.  Currently taking 3 on line courses to enhance my computer skills and software knowledge (too much at this old age)..LOL
2.  Love traveling (but only by auto anymore) too much hassle to fly
3.  Am terrible about getting things put in the mail
4.  Retired and don't get near as much done as when I worked. Just doesn't seem to be any time to do anything and there's always tomorrow
5.  Love staying up late and sleeping in
6.  Spend too much time on the computer and not enough outside
7.  Miss having my kids close by

Hope you will take the time to visit the fantastic bloggers listed above, they have some awesome creations to share with you.

New Crafter in Blogland

Please welcome Nettie to the wonderful world of blogland.  She just completed her first post and her card is adorable.  I hope you will have time to stop by and wish her well.  I remember my first post and was so nervous no one would come visit. Now that I have so many wonderful friends in the cyber craft world I can't imagine why I was so scared.......

Magical Monday Monochromatic Challenge

Katrina challenged us this week to make a monochromatic card for There's Magic In The Air/Paper Cupcakes using our favorite colors going from light to dark.  Well, I totally screwed this one up but I thought it turned out okay so I went ahead and posted it anyway.  As ya all know, my favorite color is purple and NOT yellows and golds. That will teach me not to read the instructions carefully....lol

My card info:
  • Image is from the Afternoon Tea Set by Designer Nina of Paper Cupcakes
  • Colored with Copics
  • Everything else is from my stash
Now hop on over to the challenge blog to see more eye candy for your inspiration and great cards by the DTs.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have the time to leave me a comment so I can come and see what's new with you and your blog.

Nana Vic Hosts CDAC Embellishment Challenge 19

There is an embellishment challenge going on over at CDAC this week that is being hosted by Vickie of Nana Vic Digitals and I sure hope you will be able to join us for this fun challenge.  This image is free for the next 2 week for those that participate in the challenge.

With Easter being just around the corner Vickie designed this beautiful digital image of the cross along with a full page of sentiments, not just religious, but also some cute bunny sentiments.  First, let me apologize for the quality of the pictures as my camera is acting up again......GRRRRR

My card info:
  • "Easter Cross Circle"  & "Sentiments" by Nana Vic
  • DP is digi paper from CoolScraps Digital and sprayed with Glimmer Mist
  • Image colored with Copics
  • Lily flower embellishments are also digital. Could not find any paper lilies flowers or punches anywhere.
For those of you that believe in Jesus Christ, I know ya all are gonna think I'm crazy with a red robe but I used red to depict the suffering that Christ endured so that we may have eternal life.  I also added some red to the areas of cross where He would have been nailed but it doesn't show up in the photo. The crown of thorns are a few shades lighter than the cross, but again, this does not show up in the photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have the time to leave me a little love. I need a hug!
I hope you can join us in the challenge at CDAC this week. I'm looking forward to seeing some awesome creations by you.  3 Winners will receive a $10 Gift Voucher.

Magical Monday Sketch Challenge

A very Happy Monday to you all

Patti Painter brings us a great sketch this week for our challenge at There's Magic In The Air/Paper Cupcakes.  I flipped the sketch and went from ovals to circles.  Great thing about sketches, you can flip, rotate, stretch, and do just about anything with them as long as you can still see the sketch on your card. Thanks Patti for a great challenge this week!
My Card Info:
  • "Summer Delights" Image designed by Nina of Paper Cupcakes
  • DP Bazzill and CM Cranberry
  • Sentiment from JustRite Stamps
  • Spellbinder Dies
  • Copics for coloring
  • Flowers are from WOC and branch leaf from MS
  • Pearls from stash
Easy Peasy card for me this week and so much fun to create. I just love this Summer Delights image. You don't have to use a PCC image but we love it when you do and you will be entered in the drawing twice for this weeks prize.  Now be sure you head on over the challenge blog to see all the great inspiration the DTs have created for you.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have the time to leave me a comment.

Joan's JustRite Challenge Card

Wow, I'm so excited that I finally got a card done for one of Joan's Challenges. This is an extra special week because of the fabulous prize up for grabs.  If you haven't checked it out, this is one challenge you don't want to miss and you still have until Wednesday to complete the requirements to enter.
Here is a photo of the complete card with a peek of the inside.  Yep, I even did the inside this week!
I think all of the items on the card, except for the flowers, can be purchased at Joan's.  I did try to make flowers following Selma's Rose Tutorial and I'm still not getting it so I just used store bought ones.

Card info:
  • DP is from Webster Pages. I decided to let the paper do the work on the inside
  • JustRite sentiment from one of the latest releases
  • Spellbinder's Dies
  • MS Lattice, Small Ovals, and Branch Punches
  • Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist
  • Shabby Shutters Distress Ink
  • Pearls from stash
I had hoped to get a tag made for this week too but that hasn't happened yet.
Who knows, the night is still early.

Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope you have the time to leave me a comment so I can come visit and see what's new with you.
Now run on over to Joan's so you don't miss out on the fantastic challenge this week.
